S-CHEMCON is an annual conference, jointly organized by the various Regional Centers of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers and student chapters of various Institutions. S-CHEMCON provides platform for the Chemical Engineering students to interact, learn and exposure to the diversified fields of Chemical Engineering namely Biochemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, Electrochemical Engineering, Process Modeling and Simulation, Nanotechnology, Petroleum Refining, Petrochemical Engineering and Polymer Engineering. This will make the student fraternity to gain more confidence to meet the challenges of the industry.

S-CHEMCON 2010 aims to update the Chemical Engineering fraternity with the latest trends and technologies in the field of Chemical Engineering. Chemical Engineers play a vital role in various process industries. We believe S-CHEMCON 2010 will encourage many students and industries to take steps towards developing and applying new and improved technologies for the greater good of the society. Keeping this in mind the theme for S-CHEMCON 2010 has been chosen as "Process Industries and Sustainable Development".
